OK. I haven't blogged in awhile. I know we're supposed to be sharing our wonderful dinners...so here is what we've had the last week or so...

Tonight: Garlic Chicken & Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, & Lima Beans.
Wed: Mini Italian Cheese Stuffed Meatloaves (not sure what sides Don choose to serve, because I left while they were in the oven.)
Tues: Pizza & Yummy Salad
Mon: Red Snapper, Baked Drumsticks, Rice, Peaches & Salad.
Weekend: I'm sure it was fabulous, but it escapes me.
Fri: Pork Stir Fry with crunchy noodles & "Chinese Spaghetti" (noodles stir fried with Soy Sauce, spinach salad.

Wow! This is the MOST interesting post ever! LOL

My Mom.

It's been 5 years since my mom died. I was looking at some of the pictures I have of her and us and it really makes me happy. OK, I admit, it makes me a little sad too. I found a picture I didn't know I had. It's of my mom and I making Patecia, the bread she made every year at Christmas. I still have not perfected making it. I try every year, in fact this year the middle was raw! Well, I have two small loaves in the freezer that I think are OK. She always made some for her dad every year. I've yet to be able to give any as a gift!

I know she was so excited to be a Grandma. I just wish she would have got to do it longer. This is one of the last pictures I have of her with Katie.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures of mom. I wish I had the one of us when I was little, I'm sitting on a giant snow ball in my blue coat with the fur lined hood. It's always been my favorite picture.

The great treasure hunt!

My dad and his wife, Corinne, stopped by for a visit on their way to winter in Arizona. One of Dad's hobbies is Geocaching, which is using a GPS and the coordinates to find hidden "treasure." The kids always love to go "treasure hunting" with Grandpa. So, Friday afternoon we went treasuring hunting. We found a few caches, but only one had treasure. Some of them just have a place to record that you found it. It's a pretty fun hobby and I'm so glad the kids can share it with their Grandpa. We might just have to invest in our own equipment so we can take advantage of all of the caches we can hunt for in Vegas.
